Animal experiment protocol approval
All animal experiments must be approved by the Animal Ethics Committee (AEC), under the authority of the Vice-President for Research and Graduate Studies (VPRG), to ensure that the standards of the Code of Practice for Care and Use of Animals for Experimental Purposes are maintained. If a hazardous agent is to be used in an animal experiment, a Health Hazard SOP is to be completed and approved by APCF, ACE and HSEO (Please read SOP S-002 Guideline on Animal Research involving Hazardous Chemicals in APCF SOP webpage for further details on the use of hazardous agents in APCF).
Change of already approved experimental procedures requires approval by AEC by submission of an Amendment Form.
